Free Periods included in Memberships

Learn how to include a free period in a new or existing membership

If you are offering "Join now and get the first week free!", "Sign up today and get two weeks on the house!", or any other similar promo, Journey makes it easy to include these free periods in your new or existing memberships with only a few clicks.

Step 1. Create a new membership or select an existing membership. PLEASE NOTE: You do not need to create a new membership to use this function, you can use existing ones.

Step 2. Scroll down to the Free Period section and input your desired amount.

Step 3. Select the lead you wish to assign the membership to and start the sign-up process as per usual. When selecting a membership with a free period included, a Free Period section will appear in the Membership Options section

You can choose to change the free period or remove it completely by turning on the Adjust pricing and fees toggle and changing the period accordingly.

Step 4. Continue the sign up process as per usual.

Step 5. Once complete, you can view the next scheduled payment on the Home tab and the Membership tab. The system will have automatically scheduled this for the Start Date + Free Period.

PLEASE NOTE: If you manually input the billing date, this will override any free periods included in the membership and charge as normal, including any Pro-Rata calculation. More information on Pro-Rata Payments HERE.
