You can create different class types in Journey, these are then available when creating your class schedule.

Step 1. Click on the Classes > Class Types on the left menu column.

Step 2. Click on 'New Class Type'.

Basic Details

  • Fill in the Class Type name, eg. Casual Boxing, Pro Boxing, Yoga, etc.

  • Fill in a description of the class if desired.

  • Insert a thumbnail of the class type if desired.

  • The default calendar color helps organise your class schedule if you offer different class types.

Capacity & Length

  • Maximum capacity: The default maximum capacity of members that can attend the class.

  • Default Length: Default duration of the class type in minutes.

  • Booking Window: Refers to the window the class type is open for booking.

Check-In

  • The check-in option can be toggled as active or inactive as a default for your class type. Check-in helps organise the attendance of the members at the time the class commences. Trainers can mark the members that booked the class as checked-in to confirm their attendance.

No-Show

  • A No-Show cost can be applied as a default for booked members that don't attend the class.

Cancellation Options

  • The Late Cancellation Window can be applied to the class type in minutes, and the Late Cancellation Cost can be applied to members that cancel outside the given window.

Waitlist Options

  • Use Waitlist can be toggled as active to give members the opportunity to take another member's spot if they cancel when the class capacity is full.

  • Member Must Confirm Waitlist can be activated to send members an email and/or and SMS if a spot is open for them, and the member must confirm their attendance within the window you have specified. You can edit this notification in Templates > Waitlist Spot Available. More information on Templates here.

  • Waitlist Confirmation Window: If the member does not respond to the email or SMS within the window you selected, the email and/or SMS will be sent to the next member on the waitlist. The member who missed their waitlist spot will also be sent an email and/or SMS notifying them that they have missed their spot. You can edit this notification in Templates > Waitlist Spot Missed.

Note: These are just the default options, you'll be able to change these for a specific class after the class is scheduled.
